Feedom

Today I went without breast pads all day with no leaks! Having worn them for over 4 months this is a momentous occasion for my newly freed nipples. I won't miss them falling out in public when I'm trying to discreetly feed Ike. I also won't miss them when I'm swimming - not that you're meant to wear them in the pool, I was just as so used to them that I would forget to take them off!

Believe you're a Mummy!

Ike was born 18 weeks ago today and I still stand infront of the mirror as I rock him to sleep and stare at the reflection of a woman with a baby in her arms, and I smile because it's me - I really am a mummy!

Do babies dream?

Can babies have nightmares? Ike is asleep in his cot next to my bed and I can hear him whimpering – a cute but heartbreaking noise. Have I not ensured that he knows only happiness?
